Terms of Use
Last updated 14 August 2026
1Acceptance of these terms
By using Atri, or by confirming acceptance when you cast a chart, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2What Atri is
Atri is a Vedic astrology service grounded in the classical Sanskrit texts. It computes sidereal birth charts and generates readings grounded in classical Sanskrit texts, produced with the assistance of AI.
3Not professional advice
Readings are for personal reflection and entertainment only. They are not, and must not be relied upon as, professional advice of any kind — medical, psychological, legal, financial, or otherwise. Atri is AI-assisted and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not make important decisions solely on the basis of a reading; consult a qualified professional.
4Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use Atri.
5Accounts and API keys
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and API keys. Keep your credentials secure and do not share them. We may suspend or revoke access that we reasonably believe is being misused.
6Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms;
- attempt to break, overload, disrupt, or circumvent our security, authentication, or rate limits;
- access the service other than through the interfaces and documented API we provide;
- reverse engineer the service except to the extent permitted by law;
- use outputs to harass, harm, defraud, or mislead others.
7Your content
You retain rights to the birth details and questions you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content in order to provide the service, including sending it to our AI and geocoding providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
8Intellectual property
The Atri name, website, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Classical source texts referenced by the engine are used as public-domain or otherwise appropriately licensed material.
9Third-party services
Atri depends on third-party services (including Google, DeepInfra, and OpenStreetMap). Your use of features that rely on them is also subject to their respective terms.
10Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atri and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision made or action taken in reliance on a reading.
12Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Atri harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
13Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
15Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
